India secured 188 votes in Asia-Pacific category (highest among all
candidates)
From
Asia-Pacific region category, Fiji with 187 and Bangladesh 178 votes were also
elected. This was fifth time India has been elected to UNHRC, previously was
elected 2006-2009, 2011-2014 and 2014-2017
